General Rules for Storing Steel Products

Our metal storage facilities, including indoor warehouses and outdoor storage areas, meet all requirements for responsible storage:

1. The presence of canopies protects stored metal products from direct contact with snow and rain.
2. By installing pads under bundles of sheet metal and binding rebar, pipes, and wire rod, proper air circulation is ensured.
3. Metal products are stacked in such a way as to prevent contact of steel products with the ground.

Indoor Storage of Metal Products

The main threat to carbon steel products is corrosion caused by high air humidity, the formation and stagnation of condensation, and contact with atmospheric precipitation. Therefore, storing metal products in covered premises, even unheated ones, is always better than storing them outdoors.

As a rule, in closed warehouses we provide responsible storage for expensive stainless steel products and small-sized long metal products. To properly organize metal storage in warehouses, we provide:

1. A ventilation system that ensures proper air exchange and removal of excess moisture.
2. A light-duty overhead crane to eliminate manual labor and ensure fast unloading/loading of metal products.

Storage of Products in Outdoor Areas

Some types of metal products are difficult or even impossible to store in closed warehouses. This applies to pipes, I-beams, and other metal products with large length and width. For such products, we organize responsible storage in outdoor warehouses that meet the following requirements:

1. The warehouse area has a solid concrete surface designed for heavy loads.
2. A drainage system is organized to remove rain and meltwater from the surface.
3. Canopies are provided to protect against direct exposure to snow and rain.
4. During the winter period, outdoor storage areas are regularly cleared of snow.
5. During long-term storage, metal products are covered with film, and pipe ends are sealed with special caps to prevent moisture and dirt from entering.
6. Passages are maintained between stacked metal products (1 meter for pedestrians and 3.5 meters for machinery). The position of stacks is secured using binding and installation of wooden and metal supports.
